Google Ads exclusions

Stop paying for the products that lose you money

Select the losers in the dashboard and Opteno plans the exclusion, dry-runs it with Google, shows you what will happen to each offer, and waits.

What you get

Each of these is behaviour the product has today.

  • Per-offer, not per-campaign

The campaign keeps running and the winners keep serving. What stops is the individual product offer inside each Performance Max asset group.

  • A dry run before you commit

Opteno reads your asset groups and their listing-group trees, plans the change per offer per group, and validates it with Google without applying it. You see which offers will change, which will not, and which are blocked and why, before you approve anything.

  • Reversible

Including an offer again is the same flow in the other direction. Nothing about the exclusion is one-way.

  • Every attempt on record

Each change keeps its state, its per-offer outcome and its failures, so a partial apply is visible and retryable rather than something you discover later in Google’s interface.

How it works

  1. Select products in the dashboard and choose to exclude or include them.
  2. Opteno reads the Performance Max asset groups the offers appear in.
  3. It plans the listing-group change per offer per asset group.
  4. It validates the plan with Google without applying it, and shows the result per offer.
  5. A person approves, and only then is the change applied — with each offer’s outcome recorded.

What it does not do

Written down so you can decide with the limits in front of you rather than after you have connected.

  • Opteno never changes budgets or bids, and never pauses a campaign.
  • A preview goes stale after 30 minutes, because the account may have moved on; re-preview rather than apply an old plan.
  • Google caps the number of listing-group filters in an asset group; an offer that cannot fit is reported as blocked instead of silently dropped.
  • Google Ads has to be configured on the Opteno server you are on; where it is not, the product says so rather than failing quietly.

The rest of the product

  • Profit dashboard

Ad spend, revenue, cost of goods, refunds, ROAS, POAS and net profit on one row per product — with a reason printed wherever a number cannot be computed.

  • Automations

Profit rules that run on a schedule and prepare the changes they imply — then stop, because anything that touches your store waits for a person to approve it.

  • Competitors and imports

Track competing Shopify storefronts, see what they sell and in what order, and copy the products worth carrying into your own catalogue as drafts.

  • Markets and prices

The same product earns in one market and loses in the next. See profit per market, publish where it belongs, and change a price with the figures it started from recorded.
