Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated:

This policy forms part of the Terms of Service. Where the law where you live gives you refund rights that cannot be contracted out of, those rights take precedence over anything written here.

How to cancel, what is refunded and what is not. These are the same terms that form part of your agreement with Ksel Technology Limited — this page is where to find them on their own.

1. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time, from inside Opteno. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep everything you have paid for until the end of the period you are in, and nothing restarts by itself.

If you cannot reach your account, write to [email protected] from the email address on it and we will cancel for you.

There is nothing to cancel during the trial, because a trial is not a subscription. The trial runs for 30 days from the day you create your workspace. No credit card is required to start it, and you are never charged unless you choose a paid subscription yourself.

Removing your last covered store is a cancellation rather than a subscription of zero stores. A subscription already set to end at the close of the period will not accept a store change — resume it first — because charging you a proration for days you have said you do not want would be wrong.

2. What is refunded, and what is not

Subscriptions are paid monthly in advance and are not refunded for part of a month. If you cancel on day three, you keep the service for the rest of that month and there is no refund for the days you did not use. One-time purchases — the date-comparison add-on and credit packs — are not refundable once the add-on is unlocked or the credits are added to your workspace; unused credits do not expire, so they wait for you rather than lapsing.

Two things sit outside that. Where a charge is our mistake — billed in error, billed after a cancellation, billed twice — we refund it in full, and you do not have to argue for it. And nothing here takes away a refund you are entitled to under a law that cannot be contracted out of where you live.

If we close your account for our own convenience rather than for a breach, we refund the part of the period you have paid for and not used.

3. How to ask for a refund

To report an incorrect, duplicate or other billing charge, contact [email protected] from the email address on your Opteno account. Tell us the date and the amount of the charge, or the invoice number Stripe sent you, and what you believe is wrong with it.

We read every message a person sends there and we answer it. Where we agree the charge was wrong, we refund it without making you argue for it.

An approved refund is returned to the original payment method — the card or account the charge was taken from — and it cannot be sent anywhere else. Once we issue it, it typically takes about 5–10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your bank.

4. Changing how many stores you cover

Adding or removing a store re-prices the whole subscription rather than adding a line to it, because every store is priced at the rung the count falls into. The difference is prorated immediately: you are credited for the unused part of the period at the old price and charged for the remaining part at the new one.

5. Price changes

We may change our prices. A price increase is announced by email to the address on your account at least thirty days before it applies, and it takes effect at your next renewal after that, so you always have a full period in which to cancel instead.

6. Failed payments

If a payment fails, we will tell you. Stripe may retry the payment automatically according to our billing settings. If it remains unpaid after the retry period, the subscription may lapse and paid features may be suspended until payment is resolved.

Your data is not deleted because of a failed payment.
