Comparison
Opteno vs Selvra OS: two ways to run Google Ads on profit
Both are built for Shopify merchants on Google Ads, and both judge ad spend on profit on ad spend (POAS) rather than revenue alone. Selvra OS reports POAS per campaign and queues proposals such as budget reductions, campaign pauses and negative keywords, which you approve or, for action types you choose, let it apply automatically. Opteno reports profit per product, variant, country and market, and its only change in Google Ads is excluding or including a product offer in a Performance Max asset group, always after a person approves it.

The short answer
Choose Selvra OS if you want a campaign-level POAS view that proposes changes to budgets, campaign status and negative keywords, installed from the Shopify App Store and billed on your Shopify invoice. Choose Opteno if you want profit per product, variant, country and market, one narrow write in Google Ads, and a per-store price that falls as you add stores.
They overlap less than their headlines suggest: Selvra OS works on campaigns, ad groups and their levers; Opteno works on the product inside the campaign and never touches a budget, a bid or a campaign's status.

Side by side
Unit of analysis
Selvra OS: “true Profit on Ad Spend for every campaign, every day”. Opteno: one row per product, with variant, country and market breakdowns.
What it can change in Google Ads
Selvra OS: campaign daily budgets, campaign and ad-group status, negative keywords, and target CPA or ROAS bid strategies (its terms). Opteno: only excluding or including a product offer in a Performance Max asset group.
Approval model
Selvra OS: an Approval Queue, plus Autonomy Controls that let chosen action types run automatically, “conservative by default”. Opteno: every change to Shopify or Google Ads waits for a person; automations stage those changes for approval and apply only tags, notes and notifications inside Opteno directly.
Other ad platforms
Selvra OS: the pages read describe a Google Ads integration only. Opteno: Google Ads Shopping and Performance Max only; no Meta.
Price for 1, 2 and 3 stores
Selvra OS: one plan, Pro, US$39.99 a month; no multi-store price published. Opteno: $14.99 for one store, $23.98 for two, $29.97 for three.
Trial and card
Selvra OS: 14-day free trial, then billed monthly through Shopify. Opteno: 7-day free trial; card required, nothing charged until day 8, cancel before then and pay nothing.
Billing channel
Selvra OS: Shopify Billing API, on your Shopify invoice; installed from the Shopify App Store. Opteno: Stripe; a web app connected by two OAuth flows.
Free calculators
Selvra OS: five (break-even ROAS, target ROAS, profit margin, Google Ads budget, CLV/LTV), after you “tell us who you are”. Opteno: two (break-even ROAS, ROI), no email address asked for.
MCP server and API
Selvra OS: no MCP server or public API of its own is mentioned on the pages read. Opteno: an MCP server at https://mcp.opteno.app/mcp with twelve tools, and a REST API at https://api.opteno.app/api/v1.
Source and read date

How each measures profit
Both judge advertising on POAS rather than revenue alone; Opteno shows POAS beside ROAS. They differ in what the number is attached to and where the cost comes from.
Selvra OS, in its own words, “calculates true Profit on Ad Spend for every campaign, every day — combining your actual cost of goods with Google Ads spend and conversion data.” Cost comes at three Confidence Tiers: “a flat margin estimate, per-category margins, or exact per-product COGS from Shopify metafields”, and “every POAS figure is labelled with the confidence tier behind it.”
Opteno joins Google Ads spend to Shopify orders on the product offer identifier Google reports spend against. Cost of goods comes from each sold variant's cost-per-item, or a store-wide percentage. POAS = (sales − refunds − cost of goods) ÷ ad spend, with break-even at 1.00×. A missing cost is shown as unavailable, never as zero, and spend it cannot tie to a product is reported as unattributed.
Worked example (example figures)
One Performance Max campaign, 30 days, no refunds. Product A: $600 spend, $3,000 revenue, $1,500 cost of goods: POAS = (3,000 − 1,500) ÷ 600 = 2.50×. Product B: $400 spend, $1,000 revenue, $700 cost of goods: POAS = 300 ÷ 400 = 0.75×, so B leaves $300 after cost of goods for $400 of advertising. The whole campaign: (4,000 − 2,200) ÷ 1,000 = 1.80×. The campaign figure says spend is working; the product figure says which product inside it to stop advertising.
What each can change in Google Ads, and what each never touches
Selvra OS changes campaign and ad-group settings; Opteno changes one product-level setting.
Selvra's Approval Queue holds proposals — “budget reduction, campaign pause, negative keyword” — “with full reasoning before anything executes”. Its terms (updated 25 June 2026) also list enabling campaigns and ad groups and adjusting target CPA or ROAS bid strategies, and its Autonomy Controls let you “choose which action types run automatically and which require approval”.
Opteno's only Google Ads write is the listing-group filter that excludes or includes a product offer in a Performance Max asset group. It never changes a budget or a bid, never pauses a campaign, and has no automatic mode.
Step 1: Plan per offer, per asset group
An offer in three asset groups is three planned changes.
Step 2: Dry-run with Google
Validated without being applied; an offer blocked by Google's cap on listing-group filters is reported with the reason.
Step 3: Apply within 30 minutes of the preview
A preview goes stale after 30 minutes and must be re-run rather than applied late.
Step 4: Apply and record
Each offer's outcome is recorded, so a partial apply is visible and retryable. Including an offer again reverses it.
Pricing side by side
Opteno costs less for one store and gets cheaper per store as you add more; Selvra OS has the longer trial and bills through Shopify.
Selvra OS: “One plan. Everything included. No tiers to think about.” Pro is US$39.99 a month with unlimited campaigns and a “14-day free trial, then billed monthly through Shopify”. Its terms say cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period, with no refund for part of a period.
Opteno prices per store on a volume ladder, so every store drops to the cheaper rate as the count rises: $14.99 for one; $11.99 each at two ($23.98); $9.99 each at three or more ($29.97 for three). The trial needs a card, charges nothing for 7 days, and bills from day 8 unless you cancel; one trial per workspace. Cancelling runs to the end of the paid month without a partial refund. Date comparison and product-import credits are one-time extras.
Where Selvra OS fits better
- You want proposals on budgets, campaign status, negative keywords and bid strategies — levers Opteno does not touch.
- Much of your spend is in Search or other campaigns without product offers: Selvra OS reports every campaign, while Opteno reports that spend as unattributed.
- You want trusted action types to run automatically.
- You would rather install from the Shopify App Store, work inside Shopify admin and pay on your Shopify invoice.
- You want a 14-day trial rather than 7 days.
- Your cost data is incomplete and you want per-category margins with a confidence label on every POAS figure.
Where Opteno fits better
- You want to see which products, variants, countries and markets lose money, product by product rather than campaign by campaign.
- You want to stop advertising a losing product in Performance Max without touching budgets, bids or campaign status.
- You want no autonomous changes to your store or ad account: every write to Shopify or Google Ads waits for a person.
- You run several stores: one workspace, one login, and every store at $9.99 once you have three or more.
- You want an AI assistant or your own code to read the numbers through an MCP server or REST API.
- You also want approval-gated Shopify actions: draft or archive products, publish to markets, change prices.
Questions
What is the main difference between Opteno and Selvra OS?
Selvra OS reports profit on ad spend per campaign and proposes campaign and ad-group changes, which you approve or let run automatically by action type. Opteno reports profit per product, variant, country and market, and its only Google Ads change is excluding or including a product offer in a Performance Max asset group, after approval.
Can either tool change my Google Ads budgets or bids?
Selvra OS can, with your approval or under the auto-execute settings you configure: its terms list daily budgets, campaign and ad-group status, negative keywords, and target CPA or ROAS bid strategies. Opteno cannot; it never changes a budget or a bid and never pauses a campaign.
Which is cheaper?
For one store, Opteno: $14.99 a month against US$39.99 for Selvra OS Pro, as published on 29 September 2026. Opteno falls to $11.99 a store at two stores and $9.99 at three or more; Selvra publishes no multi-store price. Opteno's date comparison and product-import credits are paid one-time extras; Selvra says everything is included in Pro. Selvra's trial is twice as long, and Selvra bills through your Shopify invoice.
Is there a Selvra OS alternative that works at product level inside Performance Max?
Opteno is one. It attributes Shopping and Performance Max spend to individual product offers, joins it to Shopify orders, and lets you exclude a losing offer from an asset group after a dry run with Google. It does not manage keywords, budgets or bids.
Can I use both?
They pull different levers: Selvra OS budgets, campaign status, keywords and bid strategies; Opteno product offers inside asset groups. If you run both, decide which tool owns which change, or a budget cut and an exclusion in the same week will blur which one moved your profit.
Do they support Meta or other ad platforms?
Opteno does not: it covers Google Ads Shopping and Performance Max only. Selvra OS's home, tools and terms pages describe a Google Ads integration and no integration with any other ad platform.
